Religion continues to be a major force for both unity and division in our world. Why is this? What, at their core, do religions respond to in the daily lives of their billions of adherents?
In this course we will explore the extraordinary array of religious beliefs and practices of many (not all!) traditions from around the world which continue to inform, shape and transform the human story daily. It is our hope that by wandering into some of these fascinating religious views and traditions an understanding of and respect for both their similarities and differences may be cultivated.
Learners are invited to reflect upon the variety and richness of the human response to questions of meaning, relationships, fate, purpose, destiny, the unknown and the unknowable.
