Here We Come

ISK is joyously doing it’s homework, and soon you will be able to enjoy the results.

The curriculum team is busy creating the courses that students can look forward to taking in the coming school year.

Once again we have been reminded that being a learner means being flexible and willing to change and adapt to meet the present moment. As we have been shifting gears from a school that students come to, to one that comes to the student, we have had to imagine our course organization differently.
Here is what we have come up with:
We imagine that ISK will have 3 phases of flowering:

The first flowering is a set of core high school courses that meet the BC Ministry of Education requirements for a total graduation program, and also meet our values of a liberal art, student centered, and wholistic high school education.

The second flowering will follow with Board Authority Approved Courses, which will allow ISK to create truly unique courses for elective credit.

The third flowering will be intensives, workshops and seminars that invite students from all over the world to join together in unique, lively and creative learning environments for 3 weeks to 3 months.
