Want to design your own course? Are you passionate about an activity or subject area, and want to receive elective credits for diving into it? Would you be interested in designing a course with your friends, based on an activity that you all enjoy?
At SelfDesign High we believe a new learning future is possible for young people on their journey to adulthood. We support learning characterized by heartfelt, joyful enquiry and authentic relationships, challenge and feedback.
SelfDesign High courses are uniquely oriented to:
- encourage independent thinking
- support and validate multiple intelligences and holistic learning
- enhance personal resourcefulness and wellness
- provide skills, knowledge and mentorship to support the needs of our present and future learning challenges
All of our SelfDesign High courses are certified by the B.C. Ministry of Education, and are free to youth that are residents of British Columbia. Our courses are peace-focused, flexible, learner-centered and continuously evolve through the engagement of learners and mentors. Many of our courses are *Waldorf inspired.
